Deep Roots

Aloha Steemians!

In the drawing I did below, I drew a woman depicted as a tree.  In the bible, people are likened to trees quite often.  

She is planted by a river and her roots grow deep into the ground, drawing water.  She bears much fruit--the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.

She does not seek advice from the wrong crowd, she doesn't keep bad company, and she doesn't join in with those who mock and scorn others. Instead, she meditates on the Word of God and her roots grow deep, deep, deep!  When the storms come (the trials of life), she is able to stand firm, unwavering.  When others fall, she helps them up and gives them wise counsel.  She is full of life--a woman rooted and grounded in the love of Christ.
