Well as a fiction writer I'm also a constant reader. I can tell you that most of my favorite science-fiction authors are long dead.
Philip K dick, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, HG Wells...
That doesn't mean that there isn't newer content that is amazing however, something about the older stuff keeps it coming back.
Oh I'm with you there, there is plenty of new content is amazing. Some of it stays amazing haha
P.S: We have some similar taste in Sci-fi (Philip K Dick, Asimov...) Amazon released Electric Dreams btw but I haven't got the chance to watch it yet.
