Hehe - spam or not, some people are earning a living here - can't fault that really. I agree there's a ton of noise but you'd hope that value would win through and worthless crap will, with some exceptions, go unrewarded.
I'm absolutely not earning a living - nor anything at all practically, but I'm curious and I really like the sentiment of the idea. As for the chosen few, I think it's more than that, and actually no different than those who earn on YouTube, instaspam and so on 🙏 Some will always find a way to market themselves better than the majority, even if it's rubbish. But, in my experience, they eventually run out of steam (pardon the pun!)
Yes well I like the idea, but in my posts I have tried to raise some issues that i think could be the ultimate downfall for Steemit. Quality bloggers have no time for downvotes by trolls etc... The other blog platforms are incredibly profitable for quality bloggers. I'm afraid Steemit will not attract the quality bloggers that draw the big crowds = FAIL
