32 hours without internet… Documentary

Day 1

Yesterday my internet had gone and I had to use my poor 2G mobile data. If you’re wondering why I still have 2G mobile internet, it’s not because of my country. My country already has 4.5G and even my beautiful but old smart phone, my wonderful HTC One M7, doesn’t support it. And it’s 4,5 years old, so it’s not working as well as before. I sent it to service last year to change camera problem, if you’re using same phone, probably you heard about pink camera problem. And SIM card part wasn’t working as well, so I decided to give it to service. They fixed it so perfect and I normally don’t use mobile internet since I even know wifi pass of pizza restaurant near to bus stop I use (I’m sorry guys, but your wifi code was so easy to guess). And I didn’t know its mobile internet has problem until I start using it. The weird thing about it is, it works with 3G when I go to city center, but it doesn’t work that fast in my house and university. But it doesn’t matter for me, because I usually don’t go out often and spend my time with WiFi. And I also use my laptop more than my phone since I started working with my computer and earning money with it.

Anyway… in November 3rd, my internet was gone again and I called customer service for it. Woman from customer service said that she will send my data to technical service to solve this issue. And guess what, it came after few hours. I was sleeping in that time so I don’t know when it came exactly. During 2 days, internet gone few times, especially when I download new updates from Steam or when I try to play Fortnite (maybe you will remember that I wrote Fortnite is my favorite game in these days). And in November 5th, about 14.58, it’s gone. But I saw modem was trying to not die. Those lights on it were trying to enlighten the whole world (at least my world). But it didn’t last long and it died after few minutes, maybe in few seconds.

Well, I knew it was going to be difficult, but I resisted to call customer service again. I waited with my poor mobile internet during that time. If I had internet that time, it would be really great. It would be like giving water to Bear Grylls when he was in desert and making him happy to not drink pee anymore.

But it didn’t come. I was so sleepy and that’s why I decided to sleep in that time, and prayed for it to come alive again like it happened when I slept before. But it didn’t come unfortunately. After it gets dark, I decided to call customer service (thanks for good music before connecting to customer service). And this time another woman picked up and I told her what happened. She checked my internet and said my IP wasn’t working and it made internet cut few times. And she said she will report it to technical service to help. After that I was hungry and I prepared some food (this time I won’t give recipe for it, because I know you can’t find it in your countries and I bought it from a store). While I was biting from the roll that I made, I was still praying. And as you guessed from title, I still don’t have internet. I wish I have password of my neighbour’s WiFi.

Now it’s midnight and still I don’t have WiFi.

Day 2

It’s Monday. I woke up at 6 am because I had to go to hospital at 8 am. Actually I don’t like to go somewhere that early, but at least hospital has WiFi. Even WiFi of hospital doesn’t work good this year, it works really well when I use VPN, so I can write on website that I’m working for.

I write about 6 articles, at least 150 words each every day and today I wrote 6 articles as well. I’m doing it when I’m free in hospital, between classes, during lunch break etc… After I come home from school, I get ready and I went to shopping. After shopping internet wasn’t working as well. I was alone at home. I opened my poor 2G internet and connected it with my computer. It was so slow that I could use it for messaging apps only. I couldn’t use it for surfing online. But it was enough for me so I don’t complain about it. After a while I was sleepy and slept for 2 hours. But guess what happened after it, internet didn’t work after I woke up as well. Now I’m writing this in Monday and my internet is not working. Just hoping it will come some day.
