- Oxygen : Paramagnetic
- Nitrogen : Diamagnetic
- Water : Diamagnetic
Paramagnetic - moves towards a magnetic field
Diamagnetic - moves away from a magnetic field
Since a weather system is mostly diamagnetic, directing a weather system would be easier via electromagnetic pushing. Of course, one would have to consider the natural magnetic field of the Earth.
Perhaps a patent allowing for electromagnetic manipulation of the atmosphere might help

that's a good Question. If we see density difference as the core of energy and we have connected open systems so a temperature rise on one side could influence the magnetic field and flux on the other side. We have to look on temperature maps, electric field, magnetic field and gravity field changes at same times to have a fuller picture.

Pulsed Stratosphere microwave heating increases the energy and magnetic field for guidance. Pushing a storm through a double counter rotating magnetic field should increase speed and have a higher direction precision then to push a bit here or there. Yes yes I understand that... but your question CAUSE or an EFFECT is really hard to answer. 😉

If you watch the press conference today, the Governor of Texas, who speaks first, says right up front that the White House has been in contact with them for the last two weeks regarding this hurricane hitting.
Say what???!?!? How could they have known two weeks ago it was going to hit texas?
