The coat of arms is characterized by a circle representing a celestial sphere, identical to that of the national flag, with the words "Federative Republic of Brazil" (Federative Republic of Brazil).

*The stars of the blue circumferences: The central circle has five stars that symbolize the cross of the South, important Brazilian symbol; The outer circle has 27 stars, which is the representation of the 26 states of Brazil plus its federal district.

*The star: This star has the green and yellow colors that symbolize the federative union between all parts of the country.

*The sword: Represents the justice that must prevail in the nation.

*The branches of coffee and tobacco: Both plants represent products that enjoy good popularity and are favorable to the economy of the country.

*The background of golden rays: It represents the dawn of the Republic, which in turn forms a 20-pointed star, symbolizing the other 20 states of Brazil.
