My Five Minute Life #3: Googling the Date. Messages from God

Do you believe in coincidence? I like to call coincidences, 'God Incidents' and sometimes, just sometimes, I am sure God's angels have a good sense of humor. Like that old Jimmy Buffett song, "If we couldn't laugh, we'd all go insane."

So, it is sometimes with a chuckle that I read my daily Bible verse. See, I like to google the date and let the Lord lead me to the day's message. Here is today's, 1/5/18 - Jeremiah 1:5:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

In summary, before you were even you, He had a plan and His plan includes you.

Simple, eh? It is the definition of coincidence? You know, when things happen, words are said, or memories return, and we think, Huh? Nah. It couldn't be. Not me.

I'm crazy. It's just a coincidence.

Then, the Lord chuckles and says, "Sure, peanut. If that makes you feel better but, um, I got this."

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,

That verse offers such a personal commitment from our Lord that we often refuse to believe it because of our own low self esteem. We let ourselves believe that the Lord would never have time or inclination to plan out the life of a little no one like us, and even before we were born?

I mean, that's nuts, right?

and before you were born I consecrated you;

To actually think that our Lord declared our purpose holy even before our first breath,

I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

I, mean seriously, that would be a crazy, right? Yet, it is the Truth.

The Lord sends us signs and messages each day. Do we have the eyes and ears to hear? I pray that I can always be humble like a child, seeking and finding, with joy.

Believe in your worth. Believe in coincidences. Believe in Him. He's made you a prophet.
