Diversity for diversity's sake is dumb. And I think most reasonable people can see that.
And at the same time, most reasonable people don't have a problem with using "diversity characters" when they make sense within the game.

Just look at GTA: San Andreas - who had a problem with that game having a black protaganist? No one!
Or the original Prey - it was based in native american mythology so the main character was native american and everyone was like "that makes sense"
