I have no need to be on the dark web, but it was an insightful article. I've heard some people say the CIA or some other three letter agency created Tor. Is there any validity to it?

It was orginally military technology.
So yes, there is a good chance the CIA or some other three letter agency created Tor.
It may have been an individual programmer as well, who knows.
There is definitely some nodes being run by a three letter agency.
This is why I reccomend using VPN, tor may scramble it for people outside but any law Enforcement running a node could catch you!
