Apple modifies/create a rule about lootboxes
This is a huge news in the mobile gaming universe !
Apple now requires that the odds for lootboxes should be displayed. Many mobile games used this feature for years, but the recent controversy that reached its climax with Star Wars Battlefront 2 loot boxes starts to lay eggs !
This is quite unusual to see the HD/AAA industry having a huge impact on the mobile industry. It is usually the other way around, with major publishers/developers taking inspiration in mobile games.
As a big company developer, I can only imagine how mobile developers must feel right now. But this is a good move from Apple, preferring the consumers protection to easy money !
