Moving to new beginnings
Last week it was that time. We received the keys to our new apartment. We are moving in the same town to another building. The rent is practically the same, as in ridiculously expensive as its in Switzerland, but there is an extra room and the balcony it twice the size. So for us there was not a lot of doubt to take the decision to move.
This week passed slowly, but it was filled with packing and deconstruction of some furniture. The apartment became messy with boxes piling up and pieces of furniture stood deconstructed against walls, ready for transport. On Thursday my mother in law came over to help out and action followed.
We are lucky to have a hatchback as a car so it fits huge amounts of stuff. I am also very pleased that I bought a trolly (from Ikea for 25 bucks) to help me move the heavier things on my own and it was very much worth it.
It was a long and hard few days and I was even more exhausted by the end of them. But after driving back and forth for three days most of our stuff is there.
Now we wait for the end of the week when the moving company comes to transport the big pieces. The couch, our bed, the guest room bed, the dining table, TV, and a big sleeping room wardrobe.
After that, as of the 1st of April we are officially moved.
It's time for a new beginning. Making a new start and going strong.
I think we needed the change, monotony kills in the long run.
I guess I will have to come here more often, to know what is going on with you hehehe.
Seems to be aprils first will be exciting for the both of us! Will receive my testresults from the doctors that day and you will have a new beginning! 🍻
Enjoy your time in the new place, and with spring around the corner that bigger balcony will be a big winner I assume! How is the view from the balcony?
Moving house can be stressful but it sounds like you've got it all under control. It'll be a pain in the ass for a bit but once you're settled in I reckon you'll enjoy that bit of additional space. 🙂
