Hi My dear Followers and Fellow Steemizens. I wish you all luck after with New Update. I felt that this post was not get much attention when I posted it earlier. So, making another attempt.

Lets discuss Pros and Cons of HF19 Update.

Changes after Update

At last our much awaited HF19 update just got finished and is in effect already. If you are UpVoting and if you are using Steemd.com and Steemdb.com you can clearly see your voting power decreasing on high volume than earlier. If you are still don't know how to check your voting power, just go to Steemd.com/@your username. You can clearly see 2% decrease in Voting Power each time you UpVote some post. Yes.. it is 2% every time from your remaining Voting Power. For example: if your Voting Power is at 100% and you UpVoted a post, then your voting power will become 98%. If your Voting Power is at 60% and you UpVoted a post, then your Voting Power will become 58.80% after the UpVote.

Why this Update was made

This update is not a all of sudden happened thing. It was on cards since HF17 and HF18 Updates were happened 2 months ago if I am not wrong about days. Just like HF20 is also on cards now already. We were constantly being notified each day through one or two posts by one or the other of our fellow Steemit community members. Even there was post yesterday from @steemitblog about this update.

Who will and How will we get benefited

According to my knowledge, Main intention of this Update, Leaving the technical things aside, was to increase potential earnings. This Update was intended to Help Newbies mostly. With each UpVote made by Newbies will give more potential earning than before. Being said this, please let me remind you that Steem Power is also important for curation. Also, our earnings for each post will also going to witness a rise as each member's Voting Power is 4 times more powerful than before.

PROS

We are expected to witness increased earnings through each UpVote and Posts.
It will allow BigWhales to UpVote Newbies posts. With their reduced Steem Power, it will allow them to UpVote many posts than before(it's still a guess though).

CONS

With 2% of Voting Power used each time we UpVote will result our Voting Power to 0% If some one UpVotes 40 or 50 votes in a day.
As Voting Power regeneration percentage(per hour 0.83%) is still remain same, it could take up to 4 to 5 days to gain 100% Voting Power strength if some one reaches to 0 Voting Power.
If some one has very less Steem Power like me, VotingPower still not useful many times in terms of curation rewards.

Conclusion is, Preserve your reserves to UpVote Deserved posts.

Edit: It would be nice if Steemit considers to increase voting power regeneration time. Because I can see a drastic fall in voting already in less than a day after the Update.. It's still a wish though.
