Thoughts and Prayers

A quick reflection
Just thinking about what
What difference it all makes
And how powerless we are

Evil strikes regardless of it
Sometimes even to the believer
Prayers seem out of touch
Quite maddening really

If we had a dime for everyone offered
We'd all be rich
Perhaps the World is so full of it
We're now losing touch

I'll keep offering same
But I wonder how much more
If thoughts and prayers stopped the evil
I wouldn't think this way
