Another unfortunate plant story
As I have admitted before, I am the ultimate plant terminator. Yes. No matter how much I love flowers and plants, 90% of the times I cannot help them survive. I don't know how much water they need, I cannot figure out the right place for them, so I end up killing them and I'm not happy nor proud about it.
However a miracle did happen. I have kept an almost dead orchid cause probably I could sense some life in it. It was not in good condition but I didn't give up. I was watering it and also talking to it -cause they say that plants may "listen" to us. And it seems that my love and persistence for this orchid actually flourished... It is now ready to blossom and I am more than happy!
This incident made me more optimistic and I thought that the executing-everything-green-thing might be over. Maybe now I can really grow a plant on my own! So I brought two new members in the family.
In the beginning everything seemed to be going fine. There were no signs of withering whatsoever. I was a proud plant-mama and I loved how the living-room was transformed by their beauty. This happy atmosphere didn't last long though...
I noticed one ant here, another one there -sorry God and ant lovers but I did kill them immediately- and then I found more of them -and also killed them. Long story short, I spent one week with a wet napkin on my hand killing ants. There were so many and I thought that this hell would never end -I have a dog and I cannot spray into the house.
So I decided to stalk them in order to figure out where they're going and where they're coming from. SADLY I realised that both the new members of my plant family betrayed me. They brought those tiny intruders into my house. You cannot imagine my frustration. I had to get my babies out to save my house and more specifically to defend and protect my food storage drawers.
Now they are grounded at the balcony and my living-room is less beautiful but I had to keep my sanity and get rid of the bloody ants!

Who knows, maybe I'm doomed to live without plants... Or with fake ones...

οχι...τα ψευτικα ειναι για πεταμα....συνεχισε τις προσπαθειες να κρατησεις φυτα αληθινα...μεταξυ μας να σου πω οτι σχεδον ολα τα φυτα ειναι εξωτερικου χωρου....ο μυθος για φυτα εσωτερικου πρεπει καποια στιγμη να καταρριφθει....τα φυτακια ειναι ζωντανοι οργανισμοι και θελουν να περναν την ωρα τους εξω,να παιρνουν τον αερα τους....
...τα μοναδικα που κραταω μεσα στο σπιτι ειναι κακτακια....τα οποια ειναι υπεροχα....επισης θα μπορουσες να κρατησεις μεσα στο σπιτι καποια αλλα παχυφυτα τα οποια ομως δε μου πολυαρεσουν...
...επισης εναν φικο ginseng θα μπορουσες να τον κρατησεις και αυτος σε εσωτερικο χωρο,πολυ προσεκτικα ομως μια και θελει και αυτος την φροντιδα του...
....σε ο,τι αφορα τα μυρμηγκακια μπορω αν θελεις να σου συστησω ενα βιολογικο εντομοκτονο το οποιο τα εξαφανιζει αμεσως ...αντι να καθεσαι και να τα σκοτωνεις ενα ενα (χαρα στο κουραγιο σου)
P.S.....με την τενοντιτιδα πως τα πηγαινεις???
Μα τώρα εξηγούνται όλα! Γιατί μέσα στο σπίτι πραγματικά δεν επιβιώνει τίποτα.. Βέβαια και έξω αντιμετωπίζω ένα προβληματάκι, καθώς με το πότισμα δεν τα βρίσκουμε..
Ο φίκος ginseng είναι πραγματικά πανέμορφος αλλά αν είναι πολύ "απαιτητικός" μήπως είναι κρίμα να πέσει στα χέρια μου??
Για τα μυρμήγκια επειδή ακόμα υποφέρω, λίγοτερο μεν (σκοτώνω 5-6 τη μέρα) αλλά υποφέρω, θα ήθελα πολύ να μάθω ποιο είναι το βιολογικό εντομοκτόνο!!!
Όσον αφορά την τενοντίτιδα, ΕΥΤΥΧΩΣ είμαι πολύ καλύτερα!! :)) Ευχαριστώ πολύ!!! :)

εδω το εχει βεβαια λιγο ακριβα ,εγω το πηρα 8 ευρω απο τοπικο φυτωριο,οποτε πιστευω οτι αν το ψαξεις θα το βρεις και φθηνοτερα...
...ρωτησε για το πως να το χρησιμοποιησεις ....αν δε σου πουν...τοτε ενοχλησε με ξανα ,θα σου πω τι ακριβως να κανεις...
..για τον φικο...τι να σου πω φιλεναδα...θελει τη φροντιδουλα του,οχι πολλα πραγματα αλλα θελει να του λες τιποτα γλυκολογα μερα παρα μερα...αν τον παραμελεις τον πιανουν στενοχωριες...
...τα μοναδικα που δε θελουν φροντιδα ειναι τα κακτοειδη...ειδικα το χειμωνα ,ξεχνας οτι υπαρχουν....απο οκτωβρη μεχρι και αρχες Απριλη,αντε 2-3 φορες ποτισμα ...τιποτα δηλαδη

Γλυκόλογα όσα θέλει ο φίκος αρκεί να συνεργαστεί κι εκείνος και να τα βρούμε με το πότισμα! :P

I have learned a lot about plants. One of the most important lessons is that every plant is different. The more you document yourself about species, what they need (type of soil, acidity of it, moisture, shade, temperature, etc), the least mistakes you make
That is so true! So maybe I should start learning more about them instead of experimenting with what they need.. :)
