A weird friend

Children have to play. They don’t have to be out of control for a long period of time since they tend to become hyper but surely they have to play A LOT. Parents should be supportive to that. Getting injured is part of the game. We have all been there and most of us are still alive. If you don’t want your child to get injured go buy a huge jar and lock it in there-just make sure you let some air come inside.

When I was a kid I was jumping and running and falling down and crying the hell out of me, but I grew up being perfectly fine-10 fingers, 10 toes, two hands, two legs, all in place. I had a friend however whose mother didn’t let her do anything. I was like “let’s go play hide and seek”, “Ah my mom won’t let me”. “Let’s ride our bikes in the yard”, “I don’t think so, I may fall down”. I was like cmon don’t be such a pussy! What are we gonna do? Stand here and blink our eyes??

Every time we were under the supervision of her evil mum. She was so well trained, that just a furious look would make her stay still and not even breathe. She would not play fetch but she could easily play dead-without rolling over as this would be dangerous for breaking a rib.

Spending time with her was not fun at all. She would only enjoy playing with our dolls and drinking “coffee and tea” from our empty fake cups. WTF kid? Are you Benjamin Button or something? You act like your name is Ruth and you are a 85 years old granny, getting excitement only by petting a cat on your lap.

The only reason I kept socialising with her, was because she was a weirdo and that drew my attention. I was trying to decode her and her mum, struggling to break that abnormal behaviour and introduce her to the fun part of life. All in vain. Soon enough though, I got really bored with the freak and found other normal friends.

What I’m curious about, is how she is now. Is she going for a walk on a leash? Is she really allowed to walk? Was she even real? Or maybe a robot? Or an alien? I guess those questions will never find answers…

a good guide on how to spoil the child.
worst of all is that this girl also has or will have children. most likely this bad inheritance will be passed on to the next generations.

Exactly! That is the worst thing.. Such behaviours continue and more humans will keep becoming miserable..

Damn I wanted to say alien. Alien spy. Like in one of my favorite childhood movies Men in Black. I had the album too I think.

hahah That was one of my favourite movies as well!

I have the exact same history! The only difference is that i was a boy and the weird person was a boy too... his mother didn't let him out of her sight, his parents were weirds, even in the middle of parent-teachers reunions they were looked at by other parents in a weird way... The only thing he did was read books, play with legos, and watch cartoons, all the other things were a no-no, but to be honest with you i think he had a little autism, not even kiding... i'm now looking back at all his behaviours and everything he did and said makes me think he had a little autism, probably Asperger syndrome... but i can't really know for sure since his parents were weird too... his brother was cool though, he was "normal" and he had the same education that he had, so i really don't know... He ended up going to college and did a degree in biotechnology... from what i've heard he was really weird at the college parties, he tried to socialize but wasn't able to connect to the people that were the same age as him... he even tried to go the excess alcohol route... it wasn't pretty, from what people told me drunk a glass of beer and barfed that same beer into the glass (weird and disgusting right?), and after that he just smiled...

Getting injured is part of the game. We have all been there and most of us are still alive.

Yeah, i got some nice injuries when i was young!! I still have scars from some of them, in my honest opinion they are just signs of a happy childhood!

Sorry for the long rant, i should have made this into a post on my blog, i'll probably end up doing it, explaining more stuff about this weird guy that we called Smeagol back in highschool

I really liked this one!! :)

If he was autistic then it's ok... If he wasn't, it's a shame.. The beer part -Oh God- I don't even wanna picture it :P

I would really love to read more about the story of your weird friend :)
