I've been using facebook for a very long time. It's our family's medium of communication. I've always had this feeling that facebook is using our private browsing logs and data to use it for their advertisement. As facebook grows more and more, it has become a greedy platform that sells people personal information for private companies for their personal gain.

For Filipinos, facebook is the best way to communicate with everyone on the Philippines because of facebook partnership with Philippines mobile telecommunications provider, with it's free data, Facebook dominates Philippines social media platform. Because of this, Filipinos will still use facebook even if it sells data. Remember, we are a third world country.

Steemit is such a great platform for expressing thoughts, feelings and ideas, but it's difficult to share it to the world especially for most of the people with no internet and the lack of instant messaging is one of it's weakness. If steemit would add an instant messaging, it would mean a lot for investors and a like, but then again, the problem is to reach people but with lack of personal pc or mobile and internet it will be hard to reach most of the people. Having a free data like facebook, is really helpful, but we don't want our private data being sold to private sectors.
