It's certainly safer! It's a very complicated issue to begin with, but with the advent of Steemit, I think it is even more complicated because of the monetary gain involved.

Welcome, and glad you found this old post. I don’t know much about Pexels, but they should be OK for the most part. There is always the chance thst someone could have uploaded images that are not their own, so I would always double check using The Google or Tineye reverse Search. It would just take you a few seconds to find out if the image is on some orher stock site,before assuming it is free. All the best to you on Steemit!
