My first touch with Apple products
One day I got an opportunity to try iPad Mini. I was rather skeptical about Apple products, but I really liked the iPad. Especially pleased with the Retina display and high screen resolution. The picture was very clear and bright, despite the fact that the display itself is not very large, only 7.9".
In the beginning, it was not usual that iOS has only one button, "Home", instead of three that are in Android. But eventually you get used to it and it's really convenient... No need to think which button to click :)
The control and user interface was not much different like a Android, everything is the same. In some moments, even better. It works smoothly and quickly, no hangs or long start.
I do not know, how it is in the new tablets with Android, but in my Android tablet there was no gestures that. Gestures - allow you to easily and simply perform some action. For example, to open the search, you need to click on the screen and pull your finger up. To go back, hold your finger from right to the left side...
Also very pleased with the voice control "Siri". With it, you can quickly and easily put reminders, find out the weather and much more. Sometimes it seems that this is not just a robot, but a real artificial intelligence...
I really liked the weight of the device, as well as what is very convenient to hold in your hands.
Design is in the best Apple traditions, cool and elegant.
Apple Store and iTunes, this is a topic for an separate post. A few years ago I bought myself an music album on iTunes (by the way you can install iTunes on your Windows) and already forgot about this purchase, but logging into iTunes through my Apple ID account (which I registered when I bought the album) I could easily upload an album on the ipad and start listen ... :) Your purchase is saved for always, you buy an album once and can listen to the ipad, ipod, imac ... well, you can do it on a computer with Windows too :)
The Apple Store has practical applications for all occasions. Unlike Google Play for Android, many applications are paid. The choice was also not particularly large, compared with the number of applications for Android. However, the quality of applications is an order of magnitude higher. Yes, and iOS itself can be seen that it was developed specifically for smartphones and tablets, and not as an Android for everything...
Updates for iOS come out often, so bugs fix quickly.
I will not say that everything in Apple products is perfect, there are also have bugs, shortcomings, but they are much smaller than in other devices.
Therefore, spend a little more money to buy an ipad is worth, as a result of this pay off many times.
Personally, I made my choice in favor of Apple.
Also a good option is, to buy Mac Mini, it's such a small mini computer that easily competes with many large computers. For about 500 € you have a full-fledged Mac and it's cool.
Well, if you want to be a pro - buy a Mac Pro, which I actually did :)
If you want a have more fun, then install Ubunt-Linux on your Mac Pro :)
