Even today Skyrim still proves to be awesome.

A few days ago while checking Youtube, I had the nice surprise of discovering a 2-year-old video featuring the most popular song from the video game Skyrim. In the past, I had already seen some people doing covers for this song, but this case was different because the people playing the song were an actual orchestra known as “Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra”.

I have never heard about this group but knowing the song itself has some epic moments, I decided to check it out and it turned out to be a very classy version of the song. This is the video:

There seems to be a newer version but it is in that video where the orchestra can be seen playing.

The reason I was interested in checking this out, is due to the fact that Skyrim is probably the game that I have enjoyed the most, it is from 2011 so it is kind of old now, and it has been years since I last played it, but I always remember the awesome moments I had while exploring that world, and how the soundtrack adapted itself to match what was happening on the screen, so in those moments when a random dragon appeared out of nowhere, an epic song would also start playing automatically.

Even though the cover is a little bit different than the original, I think it is nice to have talented musicians paying tribute and doing covers to a song that was created for a video game. The original song is this one:

There are of course many more people doing awesome covers of this epic song, but it was this one that surprised me the most.

When it comes to entertainment, if there is something that I want even more than Black Mirror season 5 is certainly the release of “The Elder Scroll VI.”
