Random rant of a crazy day

This is a random rant of a crazy day as everyone is anticipating a public holiday as a new "work from home" employee. Thing is slightly out of hand due to the government announce the normalization of movement control, and people are going all out since they've been locked down for some time now. If you have something better to read, better skip this post before you get all upset and calling names, since that's what I'm intended to share. First of all, tomorrow supposed to be a pubic public holiday, and due to the lockdown and I'm stuck as "work from home" status, so automatically it's no different than any other day I got stuck at home, so that's one fucked up situation.

Going to the grocery shopping during the weekday, supposed to be easier as I had the very same experience 2 weeks ago, and it didn't take me long on the queue. I know those idiots like to go shopping during weekend now, despite everyone is working from home they will still prefer to go during the weekend. However, this morning when I arrived at the groceries, the queue is twice of the weekend length. Apparently, the government announced we're allowed to go out with a companion now, "IF" required. Looks like those fuckers couldn't hold it back anymore, they must go out together and start kissing each others between their face mask. And what cause the long queue? The mall is practicing social distancing and to be fair to other customers, only 1 person per family/household are allowed to enter. So, those freaking love birds started arguing why the government allowed two person to go out and not allowing them to enter the grocery shopping together. I hit the red button and abort. Fuck this shit not worth it! And I went to the nearby convenient store, the street is light fully restored, short of parking space. It's so crowded like it's no longer under restricted movement order.

Fortunately, I managed to get all the needed for this week since it's only few days left. I was so happy with my smug face looking at my female tiger and waiting for her to praise I did a good job. The moment of truth, she asked her mom to bought those stuff few days ago. Great! Efforts not appreciated.

Well, there's atleast 2 good thing I wish to highlight. The Subway sandwich is running out of their usual supplies. Today, I looked at the cheese they used, it not the ordinary sandwich cheese, it's darker yellow burger cheese! Seriously, it tasted marvelous! Pardon the messy background as I'm still at work whilst having my sandwich. The job that I wish to quit for many months, now it's a livelihood. At this kind of tough situation, if I lose it, the family will have absolutely nothing to eat.

This is another good, but first let me rant a little bit more on the dinner. It happened like this. I finishes work quite late due to rushing for a few more quotation for client, not their fault, but tomorrow is public holiday. And you know, insurance is all about written law. If the policy didn't kick effect tonight, if anything happen to the client's property tomorrow, it won't be covered. So I completed my work before call it a day. By the time I look at the clock, dinner time is almost ready. I should head out and buy some food to feed the family, thought of going to the KFC will be the smartest choice. The first outlet I go, there's atleast 20 person queuing OUTSIDE of the shop, I coudln't imagine what's going on inside and never bother to find out. Immediately I put down my foot, pedal to metal driving like there's no tomorrow to the next fast food so I can pack up some food before the curfew starts. As I arrived at the McD drive through, the entrance is already stuck one round from the "pickup and collect" checkout point. Great, let's proceed to the next one slightly out of the way. Mind you we're under movement control, I'm not supposed to drive too far, so I visited another 2 more McDonald's and finally I got off the car and visit one of the KFC restaurant which there's no queue at the outside of the shop. As soon as I enter the restaurant, there's atleast another 20 customers waiting in line. Apparently, I forgotten it's fasting month for the Muslims. Evening will be breakfast time, so they really need to get the food ready. I totally respect the fact that they need food more than I do. But the freaking problem is, 9 out of 10 of those customers are freaking Chinese including myself(sorry if this confused you, usually Chinese in Malaysia are non-muslims). So I dropped the idea of going fast food, I went to the Chinese restaurant that usually full of Chinese old folks waiting at queue to pack their Chinese cuisine. And guess what, I'm the only customer walk in. They took my order, fried the damn thing, packed it nicely for me, all done within 10 minutes. At first the kids looking at me without KFC now McDonald's, they're a little bit disappointed, but soon as they started eating, the speed of them sweeping the bowl could justify how marvelously these food taste. Been awhile I haven't eat this much of rice. Look at the size of that bowl. And guess what, the kids finishes the equal portion of rice!

Have a happy holiday tomorrow. It's labor day. We've been working really hard over the past few weeks/months since the lock down. We deserve a good rest tomorrow(as we are already over the past few weeks). Do you think if I sign in to my workstation tomorrow and claim working over time, my boss will pay me extra? Ok scratch that. I'm just fucking with you, I won't push my luck.
