RE: Some tips for year 2020 resolutions

in #blog5 years ago

First, the most important thing in blogging community, is usage of tags. You must get the tags right to broadcast your messages to the right audience. #blog #life #steem are 3 of my most important tag because I blog about life, about steem most of the time. #blog is just a way to engage with more blogger, or it doesn't work at all, but oftenly I use 3 of them. And #steem usually when I blog anything related to #steem platform, more like technical stuff.

If you're aware of the latest changes, steemit official website allow up to 8 tags, esteem up to 7 tags. The first 5 tags are human visible, can be sort, can be search. Do make sure you put the most important human tags on the first five. I mean real human curating tags are always on my first five. You don't oftenly see my post despite I'm updating twice a day, because #teammalaysia is at the back. Do optimize it, since it's only a habit to make the searchable tags on the first five.

Tribes are good, and they do increase your audience and upvoter. You may tell me those tribes aren't doing any good since nobody is giving you token? Since the first five tags only visible in the tag searching column, the rest of the tags is up to you to increase visibility from other tribes. I preferred to go with #palnet and #zzan since these two are the "general" tribes that widely accepting anything goes other than spam.

It's good that you wanted to help others, and you do not need to wait until you become a dolphin. I started #cn-malaysia when I have only 200sp in hand, and now it's already 2000sp. As for growing up own SP, without powering up liquid steem, to achieve dolphin status will probably take awhile. I've been powering up my steems on a regular basis to attain dolphin status in 2 years time.

Anyway, I strongly recommend you to get to know more tribes, so it will help you to gain more exposure and bring yourself to a new crowd of audience that possibly bring you more upvotes. I know it's frustrating when seeing people getting big upvotes with little effort, but who knows what are the arrangement behind the scene?

Also, #bpc is a good tribe as far as I know. I had a huge fight with them just few days ago, good thing is all that being iron out. You don't have to try to keep up, you can do it by just adding a few extra tags, arrange the tags accordingly, and you'll see some magic. Have fun! Once again, good topic !tip

Thank you. I haven't got very long comment lately. Long and informational.

For the use of tags, I am stuck to blog, life, teammalaysia, steemxp mostly. I haven't been active due to the restrictions of internet access at home. Once I'm home then I have to wait until the time I got back out to start active again. Usually doing work hours. It's not much time then. I am hoping for a better 2020 though.

About other community, I myself slowly trying to find them. I actually found a lot promising one but because of my incapability to be fully engaged, I only become observer. I purely engaged through writing and comment only but never face to face because most of my free time I use to spend with my family. I have limited time due to work and driving but I am hoping so much for 2020.

Thanks again for this inspiring comment. Cheers.

Great then. Start with #palnet and #zzan tag. Offline meet up, not required. Put that 2 tags at the back, and anyone who have their token upvoted you, not only you get #steem, you'll be getting #pal and #zzan at the same time.

If you do not know, you already have so much token floating around, and you haven't make use of them!

Thank you. I'll try that on my next post.
I can't understand the use of the token but I'll learn that slowly.
