Focusing word of the day - Prioritization

Prioritization is very similar to organization, but unique as far as what and how we choose to go about our priorities. Realistically, many people focus solely on 'urgent' matters because they must be completed.

Urgent matters generally have a time stamp attached; a strict, swiftly approaching deadline. Our focus tends to stray away from 'important' matters and more toward 'urgent' matters, which distracts us from getting what we should get done because of what we had to get done (in order to reach the deadline).

If we prioritize less urgent, more important matters, we will be much more likely to reach our long-term goals and aspirations. Remember, don't prioritize your schedule, rather schedule your priorities.
