Two things that I know increase your rep. One is post with the amount of links. The algorithms assign higher value to post with lots of links and how frequently and consistent you are with posting.

The second comes about based on the fact that when you post comments on someone else s post that that comment is a post. So using html and links in post also increase the assigned value of your comments post.

I know that there are other factors, but also after I got @aconsciousness up to 49 rep, I just was not interested enough to find out what those things are.

Now I am guessing that how many people comment on your post and I mean both your post and the comment post most likely also increases the value assigned to your rep.
