A Folk Tale To Remember
JUAN TAMAD - Filipino Culture
by: @clicker
Tonight, I notice my daughter is hooked in watching "Youtube" videos. Just after she finish her dinner meal, she run to grab her school tablet to watch. My wife and I prepare to clean the table and wash the dishes. A small task is assigned to my daughter, to clean the floor for small crumbs. Just after we finished the routine she didn't move a muscle - cleaning the floor. Then I decided to tell her the story about "Juan Tamad".
I didn't get far in telling the story when she cut me off with a question.
"Who is Juan Tamad?"
So who is Juan Tamad?
"Juan Tamad (Filipino for Lazy John) is a famous character in the Philippines who is noted for extreme laziness. Portrayed as a child in many stories, Juan is often described as lazy and, at the same time, stupid that he usually appeared as comic.
In one of the stories told about Juan, he came upon a guava tree bearing large ripe fruit. Juan, being too lazy to move to climb the tree, he lay down instead under the guava tree and let nature’s gravity drop the fruit. He remained there waiting for the fruit to fall into his wide gaping mouth. (description courtesy of Juantamad.com) "

If I would received an award for being lazy, I would send someone to get it... kidding"
Lesson Learned:
"Do it TODAY or regret it tomorrow", and she instantly get my point.
Ask me why?...

Ahahahaha cheetah got you... but you just shared... attached the original site so that he will not send you a message like this.
