Spring Appeared In Montreal Finally
Some of you may know that I have been in Mexico for six months having returned a month ago in hopes of continuous good weather.
It didn't happen that way. Instead we landed in a below freezing land with piles of snow and continuous icy weather. Even up until a few days ago we were shivering and cursing the long grey horrible, miserable, winter that stuck around for us to experience.
Two weeks ago there was a pond in the neighbors back yard when the snow managed to melt. Two ducks came to hang out and swim. When the pond dried up, once again revealing a lawn where the children of the house can play, the ducks returned after a period of absence. They walked around and wondered where the pond was. They were sure it was here before.
Later we went for a walk to a local park to enjoy the gift of sun and at the park we spotted two ducks that I'm sure were the same ones. Marc said they all look alike but I think I recognized them.
I watch some children climb a tree. A couple of them were not able to hoist themselves onto the first branch. I love climbing trees, even at the age of fifty five, and it drove me crazy. I wanted to go to the tree and climb with them, but I waited until they were gone.
I see another sunny day as I look out the window. A barbecue seems like a good idea. We have to do what we can because here in Montreal, it could still snow at this time of year.
glad that you enjoy spring, hope you have a great time. amazing photography as usual.
