You Can't Have A Relationship
And what I want you to do is let's start here. Let's define the word prophet, prophetic, prophecy, because here's what here's what I think when I when I hear those words, I think of prophecy as in the spiritual gift means means you're somebody who received received some kind of word from God. Not that it's not that it's not that it's necessarily daily, but you're just someone who tells the truth revealed in God's word as a prophet or or or even if if I hear somebody say something like a famous quote or I'll often think to myself, wow, that's prophetic, because and the reason it's prophetic is because it speaks volumes to to either a situation or tells the truth, things of that nature.
So how do you guys define what's your definition of prophetic? Jen, do you want to go first? Do you want me to go? Yeah, I can. So in the Bible, like you mentioned, that it is a spiritual gift. And I believe that there's a difference between like an office of a prophet and just being able to have a relationship with God, which I believe anybody can do.
If you seek God, you're going to find him in the every day. And he is going to speak to you. And it's for me, being a prophet or a prophetess would mean having that relationship with God, asking him.
It's a communication, right? It's a relationship. And I think a lot of people look at that, sadly, in the church, like a pouring cup, like you can't have a relationship with God. Well, yes, you can.
And in fact, he desires that. And Jordan, her curriculum drafted really walks you through what that looks like. But it's it's simply to put it in, I guess, simple terms is communication with God, whether it's about individual things in your life or about things going on in the world, is having a relationship with God.

I'm curious to know more about how the concept of prophecy can be applied to everyday life and conversations beyond just spiritual contexts - do you think there's a secular aspect to being "prophetic"? 💡
