A School Board Meeting

If you're running around and chasing your tail and running around in circles, you can miss it. The good thing is, though, you don't have to worry about that, because he will keep at you until he gets his message to you, because he loves you. And if you're his child, he won't let you be spiritually deaf.

But it will be much harder for you if you don't just slow down voluntarily and listen. And that's my life experience, and I just wanted to share that with you. Oh, wow.

Miriam, that's beautiful. Yes, listening is huge. And that's one of the biggest problems that we have, I think, is listening.

The second would be obedience. Like, when God weighs on your heart to do something, you have to go do it. Like, you have to step out in faith.

It was funny, Miriam, when I first started this walk with God, I said, God, I want to help. I saw what was happening in the school systems, and I was like, I want to do something. I don't know what to do.

And I said, I'll do anything. Just don't make me public speak, please. That was my number one fear, was public speaking.

And so it was so funny, because I was kind of ironic. You're telling me, Matt. So I went to a school board meeting not intending to speak, and they were so strict.

You guys probably all heard on the news what happened in Loudoun County, Virginia, made national news. And so you had all these angry moms at school board meetings. I'm a couple counties over from it.
