He Loves Me Not!
Remember when you were a teen? Hormones running wild, you liking people and daydreaming about love life. Oh the nerves, the wondering if that person likes you back, the expectation! Wait... adults have all that too! We do! We still have our hormones running wild, we still daydream with the people we like and get nervous around them! What we as adults stopped doing is detaching flowers petals while saying "it loves me, it loves me not" like a lovely tantra!
The "magic" was easy. Just taking a flower and pulling every one of the petals saying "he/she loves me", then pull another petal and say "he/she loves me not". With less petals the nerves were higher, praying was involved and expectation was like a huge stone on your shoulders. When you finally reached the last petal, most of the times disappointment filled you cause he/she loved you not! And if the results were positive you smiled and cherished the moment like if it was a prophecy ready to become a reality.
Of course it never happened and the person never showed love for you cause life doesn't work that way. So it doesn't matter if the magical chanting of the flower says that person loves you, is not true. Flowers are not gypsies, or magical, or prophecy makers. They can't tell you if someone loves you the same way dandelions can't grant wishes. Innocence is a beautiful thing, right? I wonder if nowadays kids still doing the flower thing...
