Netflix Aus : A Korean Odyssey

I'm one of those people who like to try new things. As long as it doesn't involve me jumping off something, or blood, or anything dangerous, I'm usually in.

I find trying new things often leads to new experiences and fortunately I've had enough good experiences with new things that I look forward to the next new thing.

Aside from Korean food (that kimchi is good!) I don't know much about Korea. I hear about Korean from a lot of people I know but personally I never got on the train.

Until the other day that is.

A Korean Odyssey

I have no words to describe how much I enjoy this show. It's got a bit of everything. It's got freaky bits, a story you can't get enough of, drama, giggles and a love story that'll drive any woman mad and yelling at the TV telling her to slap him!

As my first foray into kdrama (apparently it's not kpop drama, just kdrama) I honestly dont think I could have started with a better show as I feel it might be showcasing some of South Korea's best of everything ~ actors, producers, writers, musicians, artists.

I love so much about this show. I love escaping into it and being swept away into another world. Maybe it's the fantasy theme of the show, but I feel like seeing Korea itself, the cities, views, the people, the way they dress and their culture ~ is like travelling to another world.

Try something new

If I didn't jump in and give this show a go I would have missed out on this eye opening experience.

So often we tend to stick to what we know, people we know, places we know. While theres nothing wrong with being comfortable and feeling secure sometimes venturing out into the unknown can bring amazing new experiences and memories to cherish.

Like Steemit for example. If I didn't jump on Steemit I wouldn't be here now, writing this blog, reflecting on all the beautiful people I've met and things I've learned since I joined.

For those in Oz who are now intensely curious about it. The show is on Netflix Australia you may have seen it. They kept featuring it for weeks.

Have you tried something new lately? Did you enjoy it? Hate it? Will you be doing it again? Please share in the comments!

Happy Friday Steemit!

Ohh let me know what you think! I thought I'd be finished with it by now but found out theres 20 episodes! Yay!

I feel like I try new things a lot but now I can’t think of any 🤔😅 I guess pulling our kids out of school to homeschool them was a new experience this year! And a smaller new experience was buying my first silver coin last night! Very exciting step!

I figure you to be an explorer of life, being an artist and all. Homeschooling! Yay go you! I want to homeschool. I see so many mamas going down that route and honestly I take my hats off to all of you. And double yay! Go stacker you! It is an exciting step, they're like Pringles. Once you stack you cant stop. Welcome to the tribe sister! <3

Bahaha!!!! I’m kinda expecting it to be addictive 😬😬 but oh so pretty....🤗🤗✨✨ super excited to be in the tribe!!!
Ohhhhh another first would be entering a short film festival with zero film experience!! Hehe🙈 love exploring!

Hi,

So easy to stay stuck in the same routine. Give you credit for watching the Korean drama.

Lee seung gi ❤️

Oooooo Lee seung gi ;) ;) is he your cup of tea @travelgirl?

He drives me bonkers, he really does.

not my cup of tea but some of his songs are really good. I have a few fav korean stars hahah

wait he drives you bonkers in the series or in real life? hahaha

He's a singer too?! I didn't know that! Which song do you like? I'll look it up.

Haha bonkers in the series. I dont like his attitude towards sister girlfriend in the show. 😂

yah he is considered the king of ballad in korea hahaha

I don't like him having this short hair ... longer hair suits him lol

aww i like this series, every episode is like a movie it is very long! watched and finished it for 2 weeks straight after work! i like watching Son-O Gong hihihi

It is long for a tv show! I had a look and was surprised to see them all around 1hr 10mins long. I think I have another week before I'm done 😁

Nice 😊. I hope they will add another season hehehe
