Helloooo Vlogs!

in #blog8 years ago (edited)

As I get ready to go on hardcore work mode filling bespoke orgonite orders, stocking my Etsy shop, touching base with all my Facebook and Instagram followers I'm exploring the possibility of vlogs.

Why the move to vlogs?

All the art I make seems to be on the messy side and it's quite hard to stop and take progress photos along the way for my blog. It is also time and energy consuming which means if I don't vlog it and I want to post on Steemit, that will be my whole day gone on work alone. That's not going to work for me.

Setting up a cam while I work, I hope will enable me to still produce decent quality blogs without the extra time.

The idea is to do my work, record it, upload it and that's my vlog post for the day.

This suits me well as I often make multiple pieces throughout the day switching from resin work to acrylics in the space of hours. The amount of work I have that I haven't shared on here is insane. This is because I simply do not have the time to compile all the photos and write about them.

The vlogs will enable me to take videos of each work in progress and share them as I make them.

In the meantime

I am still figuring all this out, I even downloaded OpenShot Video Editor yesterday. I will admit it is taking much more time to learn than I had anticipated.

Vlogging is way harder than it seems and full RESPECT for the vloggers out there.

I took 3 videos yesterday. On first video the cam fell. Thank god it didn't fall in the paint. Second video I sounded like a complete idiot. Third video I didn't speak at all, the video didn't fall either, but there's 7 minutes just on setting up paint so I still need to figure out how to fast forward that.

So! What's this video?

This is my fourth video of the day giving you a brief look at my office/crystal room/studio/party central - I've got half a dollar's 'Little Bit' pumping on the speaker.

You'll see the pours I did for videos 1,2 & 3 and my laptop set up trying to figure all the vlogging stuff out.

I'm hoping video 5 will work out much better and I can actually show you a pour.

Happy Thursday Steemit!

I always hate the way I sound on recordings... Somehow, it always sounds very different to what I expect... And that's before listening to the words!

OMG! Lol im so the same. I listened to what i was saying and Im like.. Are you serious!!! 😱😱😱 lolol

... and that's why I never listen to anything I record anymore!

Now your working studio is looking good and organized! Congratulations!
