সবাই কেমন আছেন?আশা করি ভালো আছেন।আলহামদুলিল্লাহ্ আমিও ভালো আছি।আজকে আমরা অর্থকরী ফসল ধান নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করবো।
কিছু কিছু অঞ্চলে ধানের চাষ খুবই ভালো হয়ে থাকে।যে সব অঞ্চলে বৃষ্টিপাত বেশি পরিমানে হয়,সে সব অঞ্চলে ধানের চাষ ভালো হয়ে থাকে।নিচু অঞ্চল গুলোতেও ধানের চাষ খুবই ভালো হয়ে থাকে।পাহাড় কিংবা পাহাড়ের ঢালু জায়গা গুলোতেও ধান চাষ করা হয়।অত্যন্ত শ্রমনির্ভর কাজ হচ্ছে ধান চাষ করা।ধান চাষ করতে হলে অনেক শ্রমিকের প্রয়োজন হয়ে থাকে।
এইজন্যই যেসব অঞ্চলের শ্রমিকের খরচ কম সেই সব অঞ্চলে ধান চাষ করা খুবই সহজ হয়ে থাকে।বাংলাদেশের ময়মনসিংহ জেলায় সব থেকে বেশি পরিমানে ধান চাষ করা হয়ে থাকে।সেখানে ধান উৎপাদনে পরিমাণটাও বেশি হয়ে থাকে।আমাদের দেশে মোট ধান উৎপাদনের শতকরা ৮৫ ভাগ আসে।
ধান উৎপাদন করার জন্য সর্ব প্রথম কাজ হলো জমি প্রস্তুত করা।জমিতে চার থেকে পাঁচটি চাষ এবং মই দিয়ে জমি প্রস্তুত করতে হয়।ধান লাগানোর আগে জমটি কে থকথকে কাদাময় করে নিতে হয়।জমি তৈরি করার জন্য গোবর সার এবং কম্পোস্ট সার পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণে ব্যবহার করতে হয়।বাংলাদেশের প্রধান ফসল হলো ধান।

তাই আমাদের দেশে ধানের চাষ খুব বেশি পরিমাণেই হয়ে থাকে।আমাদের দেশের রংপুর অঞ্চলে উশফি ধানের চাষ বেশি হয়।এবং ওই অঞ্চলটিতে উশফি ধান খুবই জনপ্রিয়।এই উশফি ধানের মধ্যে অনেকগুলো প্রয়োজনীয় গুণাগুন রয়েছে।উশফি ধানের বিশেষ একটি বৈশিষ্ট্য রয়েছে।এই ধানগুলো পেকে গেলও ধান গাছ গুলো সবুজই থাকে।
ধানের সময় আসলে মাঠের দৃশ্যের জন্য পাল্টিয়ে যায়। যখন ধান গাছগুলো কাছে থাকে, মাঠ সবুজে ঘেরা থাকে। আবার যখন ধানগুলো পেকে যায়, মাঠ তখন সোনালী রং ধারণ করে, দেখতে অনেক সুন্দর লাগে।।
