POSITIVE THINKING. WHY IMPORTANT?

in #blog6 years ago

Have you experienced to post a blog that didn’t get any upvotes? How did you feel? Did you feel negatively thinking that your next post will do the same? Negative thinking happens to most of us if we failed to many things several times. Negative thinking is a thought individuals tend to find everything worst. It tends to manifest in into a pattern that can lead to stress and other health issues. By the way, negative thinking is not what I want to discuss here. What I want to talk about is positive thinking and how it gives us benefits.

What is positive thinking?

It is the hopefulness or confidence about the future outcome of something. As per Wikipedia the best word to describe it is Optimism. Optimism is a mental attitude reflecting a belief or hope that the outcome of some specific endeavor, or outcomes in general, will be positive, favorable, and desirable.

Successful people are those who are optimistic

“Studies show that helping people see certain experiences — such as final exams — as demanding rather than dire, protects them from the negative effects of stress while delivering its positive effects, especially focused attention and speedier information processing. Changing the stress mindset not only minimizes the effects of stress, studies show, it enhances performance and productivity.” - Psychology Today

What are the benefits of positive thinking?

It can give out health benefits. It can give you longer life. Why? It can lower down the rates of depression, lowers down the level of distress, it can make your immune system stronger and reduced the risk of death due to cardiovascular disease. It's misty why individuals who engage in positive thinking experience these medical advantages. It will also give you a better coping skills during hardships and times of stress. One hypothesis is that having an uplifting standpoint empowers you to adapt better to distressing circumstances, which decreases harmful health effects of stress on your body.

The practice of positive thinking

Identify the areas that you usually think negatively about. Example, "the last blog I posted didn’t get any upvotes so possibly my next post will do the same". You might think no one bothers to read your posts. So instead of thinking that way, "just think that maybe your followers are not online when you posted your blog". Instead of thinking there’s no way to make it work you should think that you always have a chance to try. Remember, successful people didn’t reach their goals by means of negativity, they made it through success by thinking positively. Probably they experienced failures then stand up and continued their way to their goals.
