Why not just use alternatives like esteem, busy, steeve, or any other dozen interfaces?
I personally find a better experience using other interfaces.

Actually I'm using Busy most of the time solely for its notification and nicer UI. But the biggest player still gotta be the Steemit nonetheless, like I still link Steem article to Steemit domain. And the ad itself is not a problem to me since a simple ad blocker will block everything for me.
Some people will want to use Steemit for the SEO advantage. Me though, nah.. Im not ready for that game yet.
