when you need to do the shopping but can't afford the 5p carrier bag charge.
So the carrier bag charge came into effect on the 5th of October 2015 and every bag you use from large super markets cost you 5p to buy.
they brought this in to effect to reduce waste with single use carrier bags and the litter associated with them and in 2014 retailers gave a way 7.6 billion bags which works out at 140 bags per person. a net weight of 61,000 tons of plastic in total.
But to cut the cost of a 5p carrier bag this gent has decided to take his shopping home in a shopping trolley as they are free. he quickly made his way down the street I am guessing to make his way back home.
Now I have heard of a bag for life in the UK they cost about £1 to buy, but a trolley for life that is a first for me.
Maybe next time me and the wife go shopping we might try and get a trolley in the back of the car, it would make life easier getting shopping to and from the house :D
Until next time guys
