Normality?.jpg
What is normal? I propose that question. Just because something is normal doesn't make it right. An overwhelmingly large portion of the world is poor and starving...is that normal? Normal is usually synonymous with common. When things are common in life they are generally more acceptable to people. No matter how strange things are, if they're common, people will accept them. People just go with the herd. They're followers. Most people don't really question authority. They think the world is designed for their own best interest.

For instance, because a food is widely available and on the shelves at major grocery stores around the country people consider it to be safe. Why? People assume because everyone is eating the "food" then it must be alright. They feel secure because we have organizations such as the FDA that are here to protect us against dangerous foods.

I encourage everyone to think about the situation a little more deeply. Most people aren't even thinking about their food. They're not questioning where it came from or what is in it. People go about their daily lives and practically just go through the motions. Most people function as if they were in a trance state of mind. You can literally see it in them if you pay close enough attention. How long can this masquerade go on?

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."
-Adolf Hitler

Unfortunately our whole world is full of lies. These lies are so big that they are all believed. The same tactics Hitler used to rise to power are the same tactics being used today. Today's lies are so big and ubiquitous that people don't even question them. This is what has created our "normal" lives. We take everything at face value. Just because something is commonly believed doesn't make it true.

I suggest we all take a minute to question everything in our lives. Are we living to our full potential? Are we happy? Is there anything we could do better? Is being sick normal? Is being depressed normal? Is it normal to work most of your life and have little to show for it? Is it normal to stare into a box (TV) for hours everyday? Is it normal to use radiation to heat up "food" out of a box ? Is it normal to eat "food" that consists of a list of ingredients that sound like chemicals when we have no idea what they really are?

Again, just because everyone is doing it doesn't make it right.
