Soliloques Of A Parting Couple (Intro)

Hello friends! So recently I saw a scenario that became very saddening towards the end. A man who is highly esteemed in society and had good wealth was filled with horror when he found out he had 6 months left to spend with his wife. This post will introduce the scenario:

Sheena and Carly had been together for 20 years. This was 1950 when Carly learnt that his wife had contracted cancer and the doctors had nothing to do about it. They found out too late when the pelvic cancer had spread beyond treatment. It was only then, that the couple remembered what they had been through since the early years of marriage. How they had labored and acquired wealth at one point of time, then to lose it all in a time of war and slavery. The warm days that came and went and the coldness that crept in through the holes of broken walls and shattered windows.

Carly saw through the wet eyes of his dying wife the hands that shivered through the cold to feed their son and cook the last potato for a mine working husband. Yet her storm calming smile foretold the coming springs of prosperity.
In his eyes she saw foregone anniversaries and reminisced the dancing classes in the sweet nights of the Chinese breeze.
And so they stood before the doctor, waiting to hear how long.

'Six months left' he said, and standing to leave they held each other's hands tightly as if to challenge the death that will soon separate them.
The Carly that was once a busy admirable could only scratch his mind about his wife at home. He wouldn't leave the house. He feared her passing on like a whispering wind while he was away at work. He now looked at her differently. Every time his eyes met hers his heart were filled with melancholy. The unuttered words to the tongue were uttered to the heart saying:
