My Nephew's Christening - Fruit of Steemit!

Hello Steemians! I'm back to the grind!This time I would like to share with you the Christening of my nephew, Gauis Axel, last February 11, 2018. We have been busy with this lately and with work that's why I've been away for some days in Steemit. 😅

From all the late nights, busy days, headaches (on budgeting. haha), long walks at the market just to look for cheap buys, FINALLY! Everything was all worth it! Nabunyagan na jod akong pag.umangkon. (My nephew has finally been baptized). Way kabutangan akong kalipay aning adlawa. ( I cannot contain my happiness this time.) I coudn't ask for more! So grateful and happy seeing all my family, extended families and friends who attended on this event.

I'll tell you the story why we ended up at Sugbahan Food Corner loacated at AS Fortuna Branch. Originally, we wanted the venue to be at Sugbahan APM branch wherein its a walk away from the church. But unfortunately, APM branch only accepted bookings until January 20, 2018 and since we don't have enough time to prepare everything until the said date, we had no choice but to look for another venue that is near in Mabolo Church and is also 'swak' to our budget. Well we had the option to go for AS fortuna branch but it's too far from the church. So as we were searching for another venue, we actually had a hard time looking for a venue that offers affordable buffet price, unfortunately for the 2nd time around, we haven't found a venue. And so, we had no choice and ended up at AS Fortuna branch.

Here are their buffet package inclusion for your reference:

They have no corkage for letchon and desserts except for alcoholic beverages and drinks which is 200 pesos per case. For kids below 7 years old is free of charge. Additional of 10 pesos for bottomless drinks. Free use of venue for 3 hours. An excess of 1000 per hour. Free use of sound system for a minimum of 50 pax booking.

Luckily we booked in advanced and availed of their 230 pesos/head rate because now, unfortunately, they already have a rate of 275 pesos/ head.

Going back to the reception...

Dessert buffet by Big Bites. Kudos to the team who did the set up and decor for the dessert buffet. Beautiful set up. Worth the price 👌😉😊.

Haaayyy, it was a long dayyyy, and long post literally. hahahaha.

Indeed, 'effort does not betray you'. I've always believed in this saying. No matter how it would end, positive or negative, at least you know that you have put in effort in all that you do, so that wether it ended good or bad, you know in yourself that you exerted enough effort on it. You still feel fullfilled and I am so happy that everything on this day turned out to be a fulfilling one for me. Imagine, I am not really into organizing events like this but it was made possible too with the efforts of my siblings and dear friends. I coudn't thank you one by one. You know who you are. Thank you, really.a

It's a once in a lifetime event that no matter how life gets rough along the way, God still has ways of putting things together, of bringing people together, of making things possible even when you thought it was so impossible. Thank you Lord for all of these. I couldn't ask for more.

Again, from our deepest hearts thank you for those who came at the christening of baby Gauis, it wouldn't be made possible without you guys and of course, without Steemit, we couldn't be able to suffice this event. Thanks to my sis @fernwehninja. 😊
