I've learned that the only relationship and commitment that matters, and doesn't fail and/or disappoint is the one I have with the triune God.
Not to sound cynical, and while it's great to have love in one's life, too often it's an illusion that fails. If I have the love of others I'm blessed; but ultimately, the only Love that matters to me does not exist in human form; but instead Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
As humans we will fail and sometimes forsake; but thankfully God is always faithful, in Jesus' Name. (Hebrews 13:5)
