Did you know that there's more than one way to celebrate a festival? Here are some unusual ways in which Christmas is celebrated around the world.

ETHIOPIA

Ethiopians celebrate Christmas on 7th January wearing white clothes and playing a game called Ganna that begins on Christmas eve. Ganna is a fast paced game played using balls made of wood, and sticks. It pretty much resembles field hockey.

ITALY

While some children look forward to Santa Claus delivering presents, children in Italy await Befana, a friendly witch, who delivers toys and sweets on 5 January. Just like Santa, she gives the candy and gifts.

LATVIA

Mummers and Latvian dancing musicians who, during Christmas season dress in a variety of costumes and parade from door to door. People believe that mummers drive away evil spirits from their houses and bless them with fertile crops and cattle.

NORWAY

Norwegians believe that on Christmas eve, witches and wicked spirits roam the sky. Since a witch rides a broomstick, they hide their broomsticks and other cleaning equipment that are attached to sticks so that witches cant steal them
