RE: When the window of diversity is opened in Video Games
I agree, Diversity in gender doesn't improve the quality of the game, and there shouldn't be 'added' diversity for the diversity sake. I just want more games that have different types of people (both as PlayerC and NPC) for more options to players, but only if they made sense in the game itself.
Anyway, I find this part very interesting:
maybe the reason why the industry is still dominated by white male men is because the majority of gamers are still white men despite what other people are trying to tell us. It might not be the gross imbalance people like you want to make it out to be. Both men and woman move towards careers they are interested in, and this is why you find more men are involved in technology and programming while you find more woman in elementary education, nursing, and social work. This is not an inherently bad thing.
