Talk On Peace
The authenticity of a thing is not known until it is tested. How can you know a cloth is authentic than the other if it hasn't been used?
So is peace.
Peace is not the absence of war or violence. Peace is the calmness in the midst of tempests and waves.
How can people know that you are a peaceful person?
When there's no war, when there's no fight or affliction. How can you be called peaceful when there's no situation to prove you peaceful. At moments like this, everyone is peaceful. But can there be moments like this?
No. Unless you are the moment yourself.
I read a book and I've got to get two illustrations of peace. By different people, of different mentalities.
Peace is likened to a lake, far behind quiets mountains. A quiet and still lake.
Peace is likened to a bird sleeping blissfully on a tree which happens to grow on a cliff, from a waterfall. Where underneath a river rushes.
Now, which one truly illustrates peace?
The second one.
Gives us the typical example of what a child of God should understand as peace.
Where there's no war, there's no criteria for peace making.
If the word "war" does not exist, the word "peace " won't be either.
This tells us that, a person is known as a peacemaker in the midst of tempests ,winds and rushing rivers.
Then am I saying children of God should be lover of war? God forbid.
I am saying there will be war, to bring our fruit of peace.
As children of God we must accept the truth. That War will be, but peace should remain.
Do not think you should be calm when situations are calm and hot when they are hot.
We should be peaceful, in every situation.
You may be afflicted day by day ,
You may be pushed to the wall.
But know that peace is tangible.
Peace is a fruit of the spirit.
Peace makes you unique.
It makes your understanding go beyond where others' could reach.
It makes you a mystery under staring eyes and wondering minds.
Remember again :
War will be, but be the peace yourself.
The authenticity of a thing is not known without being tested.
Matthew 5 verse 9
"Blessed are the peace makers :for they shall be called the children of God "
