Second Round Analysis - Group A & B

The Russians are getting all the claps in this world cup, surprising everyone with a lot of goals and games full of emotions for the local and international fans, 5 - 0 and 3 - 1 against Saudi Arabia and Egypt respectively, showing a style full of variants that´s led them to score a lot. Nonetheless, even though the Russian team is already qualified, we could state they haven´t had a real challenge so far and none of the teams they´ve played against to are really top level.

For this game, Egypt already had Salah on their ranks and even so they couldn´t go home with the victory, and not because of a bad game from Mohammed because the Liverpool player gave Egypt an incredible dynamism and a lot of movement to the African offensice, but because the support of the Russian fans has been overhwelming and you know what they say, the support of the fans is like playing with 12 players.

Los rusos se están llevando las palmas en este mundial sorprendiendo a todos con muchos goles y emociones para los aficionados locales, 5 - 0 y 3- 1 contra Arabia Saudita y Egipto respectivamente mostrando un buen fútbol lleno de variantes que los ha llevado a anotar bastantes goles en sus dos encuentros. Sin embargo aunque el equipo ruso esta calificado podríamos decir que aun no tiene una verdadera prueba pues las selecciones a las que ha enfrentado no son de un alto nivel de exigencia.

Para este partido la selección de Egipto ya pudo contar con Mohamed Salah y a pesar de eso Egipto no pudo obtener la victoria, y no debido a una mala actuación de Salah, pues el jugador del Liverpool le dio un dinamismo increíble a la ofensiva africana y marco el único gol de los Egipcios en el encuentro, si no por que el apoyo de la afición Rusa en este mundial esta pesando mas de lo que todos pensábamos.

Die Russen verteilen in dieser WM ordentlich Ohrfeigen und überraschen alle nationalen und internationalen Fans mit vielen Toren und Spielen voller, 5: 0 und 3: 1 gegen Saudi - Arabien und Ägypten, mit einem kreativen Spielstil voller Varianten, das ihnen dabei half, viele Tore zu schießen. Obwohl die russische Mannschaft bereits qualifiziert ist, ist es klar, dass sie bisher keine echte Herausforderung zu meistern hatten und keine der gegnerischen Mannschaften auf Spitzenniveau spielte.

Für dieses Spiel hatte Ägypten endlich Salah auf dem Platz, doch es half nichts. Sie schafften es am Ende trotzdem nicht als Sieger nach Hause zu gehen, und das lag nicht an einem schlechten Spiel von Mohammed, der Liverpooler Spieler Ägyptens trat mit einer unglaublichen Dynamik auf und brachte viel Bewegung in die afrikanische Offensive. Aber die Unterstützung der russischen Fans ist einfach überwältigend und wie man weiß, zählt die Unterstützung der Fans, als ob man mit 12 Spielern spielt.

URUGUAY 1 - 0 SAUDI ARABIA

A game that seemed much more simpler in paper for the Charrúa team, ended up with a pretty small score, not reflecting what really happened on the field, where Uruguay got tired of knocking on the door and not being able to open it. Already 1 - 0, the Uruguayans kept attacking but the Saudi team managed to keep them on hold.

Funny enough, Uruguay had a lot of opportunities to score and yet, they could only manage to do it with a tricky corner that made the Saudi goalkeeper make a mistake leaving Luis Suarez to score on an empty goal.

Saudi Arabia improved a lot compared to their first game against Russia, but they are still to prove their worth to the fans and the world of football...they still have one game, we´ll se how it goes.

Un partido que lucía mucho mas sencillo para la selección uruguaya al final termino con un resultado bastante decente que no refleja en realidad lo que fue el encuentro, en donde Uruguay se canso de llegar a la portería rival y simplemente no lograba encontrar el gol. Ya con la ventaja en el marcador Uruguaya siguió insiriendo mediante todos los medios pero los Saudies aguantaron bien en el marcador

Y aunque la selección Uruguaya tuvo muchísima llegada durante todo el partido, al final fue en un tiro de esquina en el que el portero Árabe tuvo un error al salir por la pelota y midiendo mal el balón dejo que Luis Suárez rematara solo frente a la portería.

Arabia Saudita tuvo una mejoría en comparación a su primer juego contra la selección de Rusia, sin embargo esta selección asiática dejo mucho que desear en su participación mundialista, aunque aun le queda un juego para salvar el honor.

Ein Spiel, dessen Ausgang für das Charrúa-Team eigentlich klar war, endete mit einem ziemlich knappen Sieg, der nicht widerspiegelte, was wirklich auf dem Spielfeld passierte, wo Uruguay es satt hatte, an die Tür zu klopfen und sie nicht öffnen zu können. Die Uruguayer gingen bereits mit 1 - 0 in Führung, doch das saudische Team schaffte es sie danach auszubremsen und vom Tor fern zu halten.

Schon komisch, Uruguay hatte so viele Möglichkeiten, Tore zu schießen, und doch schafften sie es nur mit einer kniffligen Ecke, die den saudischen Torhüter dazu brachte, einen Fehler zu machen, sodass Luis Suárez in das leere Tor traf.

Saudi-Arabien hat sich im Vergleich zu ihrem ersten Spiel gegen Russland stark verbessert, aber sie müssen sich noch immer den Fans und der Welt des Fußballs beweisen. Eine Chance haben sie noch. Wir werden sehen, wie es läuft.

SPAIN 1 - 0 IRAN

One lonely goal from Diego Costa was enough for Spain to take home the 3 points for this match, in a group that is proving to be one of the most competed and even though Portugal and Spain are portraying as favorites, eveything could happen in the last group round.

Iran arrived to this game with 3 points, which made it very important to at least walk away with 1 point from it, making it easier for them on the last round but, with this result they will be playing a live or die kind of match against Portugal in the last round, while for Spain it will be enough to walk away with a tie in the third round to make it to the knockout stage.

Con un solo gol de Diego Costa fue suficiente para que los españoles se llevaran los tres puntos de este partido correspondiente a la segunda jornada del grupo B, donde la pelea por el primer lugar entre Portugal y España sigue muy cerrada y el primer y segundo lugar se definirán en el ultimo partido del grupo.

Irán llegaba con 3 puntos a este partido por lo que era de vital importancia sacar aunque sea el empate para mantener vivas las aspiraciones de avanzar a la siguiente ronda, con este resultado se jugaran la vida en este mundial cuando enfrenten a Portugal en el ultimo partido de grupo, mientras que a España le bastara con un empate en el ultimo partido para avanzar a la siguiente ronda.

Ein einziges Tor von Diego Costa reichte aus, um Spanien die 3 Punkte für dieses Spiel zu sichern, in einer Gruppe, die sich als eine der am meisten umkämpften erwies und auch wenn Portugal und Spanien Favoriten sind, ist noch alles in dieser Gruppe möglich.

Der Iran kam mit 3 Punkten in dieses Spiel, was es sehr wichtig machte, mit mindestens einem Punkt das Spiel zu beenden, was es für sie in der letzten Runde leichter machte, aber mit diesem Ergebnis wird es für sie gegen Portugal um Leben- oder Tod gehen, während es für Spanien reicht, in der dritten Runde mit einem Unentschieden davonzukommen, um in die Ko-Runde einzuziehen.

PORTUGAL 1 - 0 MOROCCO

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his rth goal of the torunament very quickly in an early play that ended with Ronaldo showing his header skills, one of his strongest qualities. Morocco deserved more throughout the game but, despite having a lot of opportunities to score, they didn´t manage to convert into glory any of them.

In their first match, Morocco los with an own goal and on this one Portugal managed a locker room score - that´s how you say when the score comes very early in the game - breaking every tactical analysis Morocco might have had for the game. They couldn´t come back from this goal but they also didn´t allow Portugal to score more, so overall the game was very thrilling and it could´ve been a win for any team up until the 85 minute mark.

Cristiano Ronaldo consiguió su cuarto gol de este mundial muy rápido en el partido en una jugada que termino con un gran remate de cabeza del portugues, un sello característico del jugador del Real Madrid, y aunque Marruecos mereció mas durante el partido, al final no logro empatar el marcador, a pesar de que tuvo muchísimas llegas en las que tal vez la presión no dejo definir con serenidad a los jugadores africanos.

En el primer partido fue con un autogol que Marruecos perdió el partido, y ahora en este segundo partido fue con un gol de vestidor de Portugal que rompió el esquema de Marruecos, que supo reponerse y no permitió que Portugal ampliara el marcador, entregando un partido verdaderamente emocionante durante los 90 minutos.

Cristiano Ronaldo erzielte sehr früh sein 4tes Tor dieses Turniers. Er zeigte seine Kopfballkünste, eine seiner stärksten Qualitäten. Marokko ist im Laufe des Spiels besser geworden, aber trotz vieler Gelegenheiten, Tore zu erzielen, haben sie es nicht geschafft, eine davon zu nutzen.

In ihrem ersten Spiel haben die Marokkaner ein Eigentor geschossen, und in diesem Fall hat Portugal einen Locker Tor erzielt – das nennt man so, wenn das Tor sehr früh im Spiel fällt - und damit haben sie jede Taktik umgeworfen, die Marokko für das Spiel vorbereitet hatte. Sie schafften sich nicht sich von diesem Tor zu erholen, ließen Portugal aber auch nicht mehr punkten. Insgesamt war das Spiel sehr spannend und hätte bis zur 85-Minuten-Marke für jedes Team einen Sieg bedeuten können.
