Spain captain Sergio Ramos responds to criticism from Argentine legend Diego Maradona against him, expressing his admiration for Lionel Messi, a figure who often becomes his arch-rivals over the Real Madrid-Barcelona rivalry.

Maradona, Argentina's captain when they won the 1986 World Cup, stated this week that "Ramos is not a super star, a defender who is a true super star is Diego Godin," when comparing the Spanish captain Ramos with the Uruguayan captain.
