What an awesome roundup of your year. I would, however, like to suggest a different lens through which to look at the teaching: you felt stressed and burned out. I can so relate to that and to the environment that becomes toxic. Whether or not you failed at teaching, I think is something that your pupils might be best at judging. And, IMHO, the extent to which you beat yourself up suggests to me that instead of faking it, you might well have won a series of Oscars and helped a lot of young people along the way. I do like the caterpillar and butterfly analogy - so apt for that age group.
Congratulations on establishing your natural medicine community with its own SMT. I am calling over @paulag who is wondering if she should do the same. Perhaps you and she might have a chat?

@fionasfavourites that just made me a bit teary. You seem to really understand and I think that is absolutely the extent of it. If I was to give advice to anyone in my position I would probably say the same thing . It is funny that we don't take our own advice! Sounds like you know something about that world.
