RE: Using BlockTrades dot US website to exchange Bitcoin simple and fast to Steem Backed Dollar

in #blocktrades8 years ago

okay.. I'm very much a newbie on this. So, do I understand this correctly... If I use Blocktrades to convert Steem or SBD to bitcoin does it get sent to a wallet? And then to get from bitcoin to fiat it needs to go to an exchange?

Sort:

Yes, you can use BlockTrades dot US to Exchange Steem or Steem Backed Dollar to a Bitcoin wallet address.

From that you can Exchange Bitcoin, BTC, to Fiat currency.

The Bitcoin wallet can be a Light one like CoPay for instance.

It could be done even by directly using a BTC address you get from the Bitcoin to Fiat Exchange. But that has often a time limit set. They offer an Exchange price and you need to send it within that time.

So that's why I prefer my own light wallet(s) to receive BTC on. And I can decide when or if to Exchange for Fiat.

In Europa there are a lot of companies that offer that service. Even paying bills that way. But don't know about other continents.

I'm in Canada and have found an exchange that I can use to move BTC to fiat and into my bank account. I just hadn't figured out the sequence.. now I think I have it figured. Thank you

You're welcome.
If you have questions feel free to ask. Getting SBD to BTC and then to fiat is following steps indeed. Works great via BlockTrades.
