The purpose of this post is to offer a global knowledge of all the beliefs and religions that exist in the world, in order that the reader has an open view, not dangerously closed to a single idea, belief or religion.

I believe that the different religions and beliefs should be known and studied minimally; they must expose themselves, comment, share their evidence, discuss their reasons, not stir up their dogmatisms and claim divine support to impose them on others.

We have the dual duty of transmitting and teaching all our fellow citizens the existence of all the beliefs and religions that have developed in our civilization. Only that knowledge will make us more sensitive and respectful of others. Because a unique and absolute belief, without a vision of other beliefs, only produces arrogant and derogatory beings towards other ideas.

This is the first of a post series where I will compile in a brief and simple way the different beliefs and religions that exist in the world.

Feng shui

Literally Feng shui means wind and water and it is applied to a geographic system to determine, with a correct decision, where a building, a temple, a tomb, an artificial lake, a tree and even a simple ornamental stone, with a so that the energies of this location do not hinder the energies of nature and everything can follow a perfect and correct harmony and vibration.

Feng Shui appeared during the Han Dynasty (206 BC, AD 220) and by the 12th century, it had become a science that was followed in China to ensure the prosperity and good luck of those who used it.

The belief in feng shui is based on the existence of five elements (earth, fire, metal, water, and wood) and two forces "yin and yang". All nature is influenced by the interactions of these elements and forces, their flows and energies.

This causes some places to be more favorable than others for certain activities since there are cosmic currents that are natural and correct. The belief of feng shui is so important in China that modernly, when the Beijing bank was built, it was taken into account, according to feng shui techniques, its location, its entrances and exits, and other architectural aspects.

White Eagle

It is known as the center of the White Eagle a religious movement of Great Britain that follows the teachings of White Eagle, American Indian. This belief, channeled by Grace Cooke, is based on communication with God through inner spirituality. It also includes elements such as astrology, ecology, healing, holism, etc. The followers of this movement characteristic of the New Age, live following the rhythms of nature and biorhythms.

Aikido

Aikido is not just a Japanese martial art, but a true compendium of philosophical, mystical and spiritual feelings. It tries to give the human being the opportunity to rediscover a state of equilibrium, both psychic and physical, that allows the spontaneous harmonization of his existence with the cosmic way or beyond appearances, with order and peace.

It is, rather than a martial art, access to another way of being, in which human actions are imbued with altruism, kindness, and progress. It is a thought that differs from the Cartesian and dualistic, but that does not suppose the subordination to religion either. Aikido admits all disposition of the soul, all devotion and does not involve imposed dogmas or obligations with respect to God, only trust in Man, his possibilities and his perfectibility.

Brahma Kumaris

The religious movement of the Hindu tradition Brahma Kumaris is also known as Raja yoga. Its origins date back to 1930, when Dada Lekhraj, a diamond merchant, had a religious experience in Hyderabad Sindh. With the new name of Brahma Prajapita, he started this religious movement bypassing his address to women.

Brahma Kumaris includes in his doctrine the vegetarian diet, the abstinence from alcohol and tobacco, celibacy, the practice of meditation and spiritual knowledge obtained from God through the spiritual university, in which they reach the category of members when they join to a local branch. They are separated from Hinduism, but their presence is important in more than seventy countries hovering around three hundred thousand members.

For the followers of Brahma Kumaris, our era is over and we enter the golden age, where the consciousness of the soul will be reached through mental union with God since humans will be more soul than body.

Due to its characteristics, Brahma Kumaris has not been considered as a sectarian group and has even cooperated with the United Nations in the Global Cooperation Movement.

Circumcision

Circumcision is the action of cutting the foreskin on the penis. In Judaism, it is the symbol of the Covenant between God and his people Israel. Every child should be circumcised eight days after birth, and only illness can delay this religious rite. In Islam this ritual is also performed, but with a different chronology. On the seventh day of birth, the "aqiqah" is celebrated, which consists of the shaving of the child's head and the sacrifice of an animal. The circumcision will take place between 7 and 12 years.

Cosmology

Cosmology is the study of the global characteristics of the cosmos or universe. Philosophically one can speak of the interest in that part of the origin, structure, and laws of the universe. Modern cosmology was born in the early twentieth century when Albert Einstein in his theory of relativity postulated that the geometry of space depends on the matter present in it. Religion establishes its importance in the relationship between the natural world and the human beings in it, with the divine.

Hermeneutics

It is the art of interpreting sacred texts to discover their true meaning. The origins of hermeneutics reside in ancient Grace, but the biblical interpretation in the eighteenth century revived this theory of interpretation. Hermeneutics has been accepted as a method of the philosophy of religion, giving rise to a philosophical hermeneutic of religious experience.

Hermeneutics works on the interpretation of numerous religious symbols, such as evil, original sin and the various myths surrounding religion. The religious symbols constitute an inexhaustible source with a great depth of senses in which man is immersed and can not fail to pass without trying to interpret it
