Some interesting developments with Steem Proposals System

I've just seen an update from @blocktrades on their status with the development of the Steem Proposals System project (or maybe Steem.DAO, not really sure what it's name is going to be).

This topic might've been approached deeper in yesterday's 60 minutes of Steem by @pennsif, but I'm a little dephased on this, since I listen to the recordings usually on Saturdays.

The testnet for the proposals system has been on for over a week, during which only a few minor changes have been implemented to it, after talking to the people who tried out the new system on the testnet and the UI developers.

There is an even more interesting update on this, which is that after talking with Steemit, Blocktrades will also assume the task of doing the UI interface for steemit.com regarding the Steem Proposals System.

For this task, they allocated two UI designers and they estimate it will take roughly one week.

With that, the work will be pretty much finished, but there is still the matter of scheduling when the new updates should be rolled out.

Yes, I expect all the general purpose frontends that support wallet functions will probably support the proposal system (well, not sure on the mobile apps).

As far as a link goes, I hope that we'll have a prototype running late next week to see how the one we've started on today will look.

Steem Proposals System will start based on donations-only at first, and Steemit, Inc. will offer a donation to this project to get it started.

After a while of getting it working this way, the system will be evaluated and then decided if something needs to change, including whether it's necessary to add a inflation-based source of funding or not.
