How much "decentralized" is your bellowed DEX?

in #blocknet6 years ago (edited)

Not every DEX is "on par" to others

Every day more and more we hear about "decentralized exchanges" for crypto currencies. Very few would argue, that DEX is the superior version of BTC (and other coin) exchanges. And there is a bunch of them already today, all claiming that they are "decentralized".

But - do they really are?

Are "decentralization" implemented in all majors components of the exchange, or just in a few of them?
Do they ask you to register, to log-in, or somehow somewhere enter your ID or/and password?

Today I came across another good video, which is talking about this subject.
Also it has some extra eplanation and some links below it. Go and check it out.

And be warned - a TRUE DEX is on the horizont. In fact - it is already live, operational.
All what is still missing is a friendly UI. Today all work has to be done from a command-line interface, which normally is OK only for geeks.

WHITE-PAPER (finally)

But good things are close. Today a WHITE-PAPER (after 4+ year wait) been published:
https://blocknet.co/18-03-15_Blocknet_Design_Specification_v.1.0.pdf

And the full Beta version of a friendly UI app is coming in less then a week, scheduled for MAR-21. In the mean time, go get that PDF, read it, and get yourself ready for the party.

More info ?

The biweekly newsletter is also out today, where you get tons of good info and links:

You probably understand very well what this all means to the coming value of BLOCKNET coin. Dont be late to the party.

This is a really big news for a DEX world, so your RESTEEM would make a great help for community. To all who care about cryptos and secure trades. So please do it.

Decentralize sometimes make me passion

Sometimes? Always -to me

It is not just about a friendly UI, volume is missing from DEX. Binance has plans to switch towards a decentralized exchange through Binance Chain, also we have various promising and high profile projects which will start delivering their Decentralized exchanges this year but it will be interesting to see if they will be able to get that volume which is currently missing.

A number of DEX do suffer from low volumes because are limited to ERC20 tokens only. The number of coins supported is crucial for exchange (as well as easy of use). Will be very interesting to watch how it all unfolds in 2018

Looking forward to the DEX switcheo on the neo block chain! Hopefully its a better experience then the Ethereum based options

Ethereum (and erc20) based projects are slowly getting overevaluated. Many powerful features and capabilities of other coins/tokens are still overlooked or undiscovered

Dex was the coolest project and still it is but how they push from now on would be interesting to see

I am big believer in this project. Hodling since 2014

this is good information, this can be explored.

That is why I an asking for resteems.

Thanks for this informations. I have resteemed, the hopefully of many people reading and not lagging behind the information

Thanks for your resteem @yusfriadi. This (resteems) helps important new technologies get awarenes fast and wide. Which will benefit to all progresive people (except banksters)

it need to spread more and more because in few days decentralised exchanges will be the only hope

Yes you absolutelly right. This is a very new technology, and needs so much that info would be spread intensivelly and everywhere. That is a single reason i have asked very clear and openly for resteems

i really worry if these too gets regulated hahah just imagine a silly thing but might be possible

Decentralisation (true and complete) is an extremely important feature against bankster world inspirated atacks against cryptos.

Your post is Golden I just follow your post so kindly follow my post thanks for sharing
