People always ask why should we invest on Steemit ? Well, Steemit uses Blockchain. Blockchain is commonly known for its potentially resilient combination of safety features. Steemit uses blockchain and it's the right decision. Steemit runs on top of a decentralized network named Steem. Like Bitcoin, Steem is a blockchain with transferable tokens. In addition to moving tokens from one place to another, Steem is also a text content and metadata database that applications or websites can connect to. So, users that uses steemit is safe, and it's mostly impossible for a hacker to hack our account.
The project was founded in 2016 by Ned Scott and Dan Larimer, creator of BitShares.The two are founders of the Steemit Inc. company which runs the Steemit website and funds ongoing development of the platform. On March 15, 2017 Dan Larimer announced his resignation from the company. Steemit has launched seems March 2016, and there are up to 170,000 on May, 2017. In one short year Steemit has grown very fast. I believe that Steemit will defeat Facebook in the future. I myself is also a bit regret that I didn't join Steemit earlier. If I do join Steemit earlier maybe I have invest successful on steemit already.
