This Blockchain, Eh! It's This Interesting? 😃
When I first heard about blockchain and began exploring it, I was fascinated by the innovation but mostly thought it was about transactions.
My initial understanding of its application was limited to the area of finance.
Well, am I to blame for my earlier misconception?
I mean, the first use case of blockchain was seen in the creation of Bitcoin, the world's first cryptocurrency💰
But there's so much more to blockchain than just transactions! 🚀
Just yesterday, I shared a tweet by our CEO at Havilah Blockchain Studios about how blockchain technology can be integrated into governance to solve many world problems and corrupt practices. For example, conducting free and fair elections through secure and transparent voting using blockchain 🗳️
This is possible because of the tamper-proof, immutable nature of blockchain.
That was just one use case 📌
Another is healthcare. Let me share a personal story.
Until recently, I didn't know my blood type or genotype as I hadn't been to a hospital in like forever 😅
However, I had my blood taken and received a record from the hospital with this information after my blood was analyzed.
Now, imagine this: My medical record, including my blood type and genotype, is stored on a blockchain. This record is secure, tamper-proof, and can only be accessed by authorized personnel. 🏥🔐
If, for example, I relocate to another city or country and need to visit a new hospital where the doctor doesn't know anything about me, they can easily access my medical history on the blockchain with my consent.
This ensures continuity in my healthcare, improves diagnosis, and speeds up treatment without the need for repeated tests 📂🌍

This is just another application of blockchain in our daily lives that I find really interesting. Blockchain can transform other everyday aspects of our lives too as its potential is vast and far-reaching.
